Fund Development Manager

Disability Network Southwest Michigan, a Center for Independent Living in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is seeking candidates for our Fund Development Manager position. This position is responsible for the management and growth of all organization fund development and direct supervision of assigned fund development staff.
Responsibilities
Provides supervision and direction for all fund development staff as assigned.
Explores and applies for new grant opportunities
Oversees Annual Fund Campaign by serving as chair or co-chair of Annual Fund Campaign Committee.
Supervises major gift donations and planned giving activities.
Serves on the Marketing/Public Relations Committee of the Board of Directors
Is responsible for the use of marketing tools and brand standards for the organization as directed by the Marketing/Public Relations Committee and the Board of Directors.
Develops and maintains in-kind donations to the organization.
Oversees all event planning for the organization.
Attends appropriate community commission, council and committee meetings as point of contact for organization related to grant opportunities and/or fund development.
Maintains donor relations throughout the year.
Researches, implements and maintains and/or supervises maintenance of appropriate fund development software for the organization.
Develops yearly fund development goals and budget with President/CEO and Board of Directors or Committee of the Board.
Serves as a member of appropriate community organizations as representative of organization.
Attends all Board of Director meetings.
Attends Executive Committee and other Board Committee meetings as assigned.
Executes all other duties as assigned by President/CEO.
Qualificiations
Has earned a bachelors degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field. A masters degree in not-for-profit organizational fund development is preferred.
Is experienced in management and growth of fund development programs.
Is skilled in grant writing.
Is skilled in marketing and public relations.
Is skilled in event planning.
Is skilled in budget creation and implementation.
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communications skills.
Possesses positive interpersonal relationships skills.
Possesses strong management skills.
Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the Independent Living philosophy.
Is experienced with Microsoft Office software and data base software applications.
Demonstrates an ability to work effectively with the Board of Directors, persons with disabilities, the general public and other professionals.
Is able and willing to travel throughout the six county catchment area.
Application Process
